Healthcare For Generations (HFG) is a local NGO working closely with local communities, implementing partners, the Government of Kenya, and public-private partners at the county and national levels. The organization’s main mission is to inspire and empower Kenyan youth to live healthy and productive lives through evidence-informed interventions and partnerships.

Healthcare for Generations (HFG) has been sub contracted by Kenya Red Cross society to implement a Global Fund project in Nakuru and Kericho Counties that started in July 2024 with an expected end date of 2027. The project contributes to achieving Vision 2030 Kenya development plan through Universal access to comprehensive HIV prevention Treatment and Care.

Its objective is to scale up the identification, linkage to care, retention and adherence of all children and Adults living with HIV as well as other Vulnerable populations. The specific goals are; To reduce new HIV infections by 75%, to reduce AIDS related mortality by 50% and to reduce HIV-related stigma and discrimination by 25%.

HFG wishes to recruit One Data Clerk based in Nakuru office for a 1-year period with possibility of extension subject to availability of funds. The data clerk is expected to collect, analyze, and manage data to support the Global Fund’s mission to control HIV and AIDS epidemic. Specific responsibilities:

  1. Ensure availability of data collection and reporting tools to the community resource persons
  2. Mentor the community resource persons and other data users on the use of M&E tools
  3. Ensure the Community resource persons reports are complete and correct
  4. Collection and collation of program data from Health Facilities and Community Resource Persons.
  5. Conduct data cleaning across the facilities of implementation by triangulating the Community Volunteers data against the EMR data on a monthly basis
  6. Document all findings and provide facility feedback of data collection and M&E field visits.
  7. Sort and proper filling of trackers and reports generated from the field in well labelled files in the office cabinets for ease of accessibility and retrieval
  8. Maintain and update community resource persons database
  9. Support the finance team in preparing complete payment requests for the activities he/she has conducted
  10. Support the field officer and M& E officer with any assigned tasks
  11. Any other duty as may be assigned

Training and skills Required

  1. Should be competent in the use MS. Excel and Ms. Word
  2. Have basic knowledge on Kenya EMR (but can learn on job)
  3. 1-year experience in Monitoring and evaluation/Data management
  4. Diploma in Health records or Public Health or Social Sciences.
