Healthcare For Generations (HFG) formerly Partnership for a HIV Free Generation (HFG)

Our History

Healthcare For Generations (HFG) began its journey as the Partnership for a HIV Free Generation. Officially registered as a local NGO in 2012, HFG has evolved to address the changing landscape of health and social issues in Kenya. In 2024, we rebranded to Healthcare For Generations, marking a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to fostering healthier communities.

Our inception was championed by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and supported by a coalition of local and international private sector corporations. Together, we have focused on combating HIV, addressing gender-based violence, and advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among the youth in Kenya. Originally a project of FHI and PATH, HFG has been recognized for its innovative tools and interventions, such as the iconic G-Pange Brand and the Shuga Package, which have significantly impacted adolescents and young people in Kenya and beyond.

HFG’s primary audience is adolescents and youth aged 10-35 years, with secondary audiences including parents, teachers, and the general community. We implement special programs specifically targeting adolescent girls and young women, ensuring their unique needs are met. Central to our approach is the meaningful engagement of young people in every aspect of our project cycle management, empowering them to be active participants in shaping their futures.
