Zilpher A. Kepher – Ateng is the Executive Director at Healthcare For Generations (HFG), formerly Partnership for a HIV Free Generation, a position she has held since June 2014. She holds a Master of Science in Administration: International Development; Concentration Area – Public Health, Behavior Change Communication from Andrews University, Berrien Spring-Michigan, USA and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Nairobi- Kenya. She is a professional with proven project cycle management, organizational value driven leadership and knowledge development competence. Has over 19 years’ experience in designing, managing, improving, and tracking health and development activities in Eastern and Southern Africa region. She has an impressive technical knowledge of sexual health, advocacy, gender mainstreaming, rights based approach, participatory management and in-depth understanding of the social and contextual factors affecting human behaviors and, experienced with USG Cooperative Agreement and Contracts funding mechanisms and Swedish Mission Council’s programming framework. She provides guidance on sound management of project resources including budget development, monitoring and management, partner agreements and execution ensuring compliance. She has experience in partnership building and has managed relationship with over 39 private and public implementing partners, 32 local faith based and community based organizations and, collaborated with the Government of Kenya though it’s line ministries, USAID, UNICEF, MTV, Cardno Emerging Markets-USA and UNFPA.
